'“These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I. “And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe. I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me. But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here.'

John 14:25-31

Mark 5:25-29

And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His cloak, because she thought," if I just touch His clothes, I will be healed." Immediately her bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

Have you felt so unworthy of something and yet you were desperate to get what you needed? It's kind of backwards sounding yet there's a lot of truth to this in our individual lives.

There is no name to this woman and could very well be you or I.

She had no control of the excessive bleeding that was happening to her and as she spent time and money on doctors who had no cure for her disease. The bleeding kept her isolated and alone. She was considered unclean due to the bleeding. She wasn't allowed to be out in public and this was due to Jewish laws that were set in place.

But Jesus came to town and it makes me wonder how many stories she had heard over the course of her twelve years that kept her faith alive to the point where if she ever met Him that She knew who He was. She came behind Jesus and that gives me the understanding that she was not only embarrassed she was ashamed of herself and yet her bleeding again, was out of her control. The unworthiness she must have felt kept her hiding in a crowd of people and yet her desperation kept her motivated to move forward.

IF I JUST, I'm sure she felt weak, yet in her darkest moment of the unknown she knew who her healer was.

IF I JUST, can touch the hem of His garment I KNOW I will be healed.

IF I JUST, could get through this.

What are you desperate for Jesus to do in your life?

Are you lining up with His word?

IF is a choice and behind that choice a decision is made; Are you going to believe in, trust in, and have faith in God?

Sometimes we ask for healing and when God doesn't give us what we want we get angry at God when God has a purpose for everything and behind everything that He does. He is asking you to simply trust Him and to know that even when You don't understand things He understands. And it's His will to be done. Where is your faith taking you?

The woman felt unworthy yet the desperation she felt to live led in the direction only faith could take her.

I've been chewing on Ephesians 3:20 this week. And it's brought me to this question if God truly is able then what are we believing in that isn't God's truth? Ephesians 3:20 says this:

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever Amen.

When I study God's word I not only time the time to look at each word, I like to really understand what I'm reading and the only way for any of us to do that is to ask the Holy Spirit to bring a revelation to God's word that will direct us in righteousness. So, let's look at some profound words in this verse.

Now to Him who is ABLE - having the necessary means, skill, know how or authority. God the Father, through Jesus Christ by the power of His Holy Spirit is the source of everything we need.

He's able TO DO EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL that WE ASK or THINK - To have what we need exceedingly and abundantly is more than enough. Have you ever heard of wishful thinking? It's those thoughts that are the deep desires of our heart and because God knows our thoughts (Psalm 94:11) and what we are going to ask for before we verbally do so. (Matthew 6:8)

According to the POWER THAT WORKS IN US - The power that works in us is the Holy Spirit. He is the person of the Holy Trinity that keeps us from stumbling! (Jude1:24) Stumbling from what exactly? Our desires of the flesh - or our Human nature. Temptation causes us to sin and yet because God knows the desires of our hearts, He gives us this power, His grace, to deliver us from sin and to keep us from it.

to BRING HIM GLORY in the body of Christ Jesus, the body being the believers of Jesus Christ - the CHURCH- to all generations forever and ever. Amen

So, the questions we need to ask is this:

Am I allowing God to do what only He can do?

Am I believing God's power works through me exceedingly abundantly to deliver me and to keep me from sin?
